Look at specified region

You can specify the displayed region on genome data. There are two methods of specifying the region, one is specifying each chromosome, the other is details of position on genome data. This documents describes how to look at the specified region as you like.
Specifying each chromosome:
  1. Please click the combo box on the control area and select the chromosome you want to look at.

Note

  • GenomeJack displays entire region on the genome data if you select “ALL”.

  • You can also look at the specified region by entering chromosomal name in the combo box and pressing [Enter] key.

Specifying detail of position:
  1. Please enter the details of position in the text box which is on the control area and press the [Enter] key. You can specify the displayed region according to the following rules. We input “chr1 : 50000 - 1000000” here.

    Rule of Displayed Area

    Action

    chromosome 1 : position 1 - chromosome 2 : position 2
    (Ex.) chr1 : 50000 - chr2 : 1000000
display from position 1 of chromosome 1 to position 2 of chromosome 2
    chromosome 1 : position 1 - position 2
    (Ex.) chr1 : 50000 - 1000000
display from position 1 of chromosome 1 to position 2 on the genome data
    chromosome 1 : position 1 - (none specified)
    (Ex.) chr1 : 50000 -
display from position 1 of chromosome 1 to end position of chromosome 1
    position 1 - chromosome 2 : position 2
    (Ex.) 50000 - chr2 : 1000000
display from position1 on the genome data to position 2 of chromosome 2
    position 1 - position 2
    (Ex.) 50000 - 1000000
display from position 1 to position 2 on the genome data
    none specified
display entire region on the genome data

  2. GenomeJack displays the specified region.
